This weekend was a whirlwind of errands but I did have some fun checking out new products with the most amazing makeup artist Jermey Z. I met him from my days selling makeup in San Francisco.
Last Sunday he showed me how to contour and mega highlight my face.
My two favorite products used were
Laura Mercier’s Radiance Primer Gives you that perfect all over natural glow.
Anastasia Illuminator Can be used as highlighter and subtle eyeshadow.
Happy Saturday everyone! This is my checklist for the day, anyone doing anything more exciting this weekend?
My favorite holiday is coming soon and I have a few costume ideas to feature on the blog!
I bought this mint tennis dress at a bargain a few years back and paired with tennis shoes, simple accessories, and a racket a quick costume is created.
There are plenty of similar dresses on etsy that would easily recreate the same ensemble.
Typically I don’t like facebook ads popping all over my feed but recently I discovered a Seattle based online store with the most adorable office and paper products. Unfortunately I’m stuck to plain pens, notebooks, and post-its right now but a working-girl can dream…
Ginkgo Leaf Sticky Notes
During this weekend I watched this awesome video with Aaron Draplin, a bomb graphic designer that created the popular Field Notes brand. He takes on a challenge by Lynda to create a quick logo. He starts with inspiration, sketching, messing around on the computer, then mockups. I decided to follow his process to make a fast logo with my intials/name and I came up with pretty sweet results.
Bringing the designs in illustrator & working with shapes and letters
Everyone ready to get their holiday weekend on?
I finally got a chance to go through all of my photos from my trip to New York a few months ago.
One of the stops during my east coast trip was Syracuse. There wasn’t too much to see but I was able
to keep busy visiting the beautiful old buildings surrounded by bright summer greenery.
Captured the Gemini Twins and Cancer from Grand Central Station’s collection of constellations.
The first night I went on a water taxi with my awesome boyfriend Mike. We got to see amazing views of the island and
received a dainty glass of champagne – I highly recommend it. And if anyone is wondering, the sky was
not that purple/pink when I took that Brooklyn Bridge photo :p
