Here comes the Sun….Flowers🌻

About a month ago, a few girlfriends and I took a two-hour ride to Woodville California to frolic in the warm sun and beautiful flower fields…and because I fancy myself as a blogger and sunflower posts were blowing up my Instagram feed at the time, I of course had to partake in this summer photoshoot trend. (pictures coming up!).

I’ve never seen so many sunflowers in my life and since yellow is one of my favorite colors, I couldn’t help from smiling the entire time. Miles of these yellow beauties provided the perfect summer backdrop to go with my all white outfits. I accessorized with comfy heels, vintage earrings and colored shades that have major 90’s vibes.

Live it Local | Homeroom

As of late I’ve been trying to be as healthy as I can be with my diet due to my impending doom (just kidding for my wedding). I’m trying on wedding dresses in a few months and I have a bit of tightening up to do (blog posts to come on my fitness journey!)

Even with my discipline – trying to eat healthy, weekly workout classes, etc. I still do remember to treat myself, which brings me to Homeroom.

Delicious, delectable, a cheese lover’s heaven –  this restaurant specializes in grown-up Mac & Cheese. Options on their menu include Jalapeño Popper Mac, Siraracha Mac, and the Smokey Bacon Mac. Not to mention the hundreds of custom combos you can create mixing and matching their add-ones.

I’ve had two friends rave about the food and cool/laid back atmosphere, and after seeing yet another insta-post I decided to head over on a sunny Sunday afternoon.

A Perfect Match / Take the Cake

With the hundreds of details that make up a memorable wedding, the cake is one of the big ones. There are so many traditions surrounding this confection; Saving the top tier for your first anniversary, the cutting of the cake, and the finding the perfect groom and bride toppers. I’m a sucker for traditions so you better believe I’ll be incorporating all of them in my wedding 🙂 There are a multitude of cake styles out there and I listed my favorites below. Not your traditional frosted covered cake, this style isn’t afraid to show a little skin :p. The naked style is unique and has that rustic/laid back vibe; when adorned with flowers or fruit its ready to be the reception showpiece.
